Following a series of academic seminars on the role of the Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process in the Regional Cooperation policies of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Directorate General for Regional Cooperation (DGRC) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in collaboration with the Kardan University held a seminar for students pursuing their Master’s Degree at Kardan University. During the two-hour seminar, the young Foreign Service Officers of the DGRC spoke about the Regional Cooperation aspect of Afghanistan’s Foreign Policy and the role of the Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process in political consultations and promotion of confidence building measures in the Heart of Asia Region. The seminar along with academic presentations, provided an opportunity for the students of the University studying International Relations, to engage in a productive Q&A session. The Role of Youth in Promotion of Regionalism is the title under which the DGRC holds academic seminars for students of International Relations at different Universities in Afghanistan. These seminars are to engage the youth and future leaders of the country, in promotion of Regional Cooperation. Previously, DGRC has held seminars in collaboration with Afghanistan University and Salam University both based in Kabul.
