Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Republic of Tajikistan discussed preparations for the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process
KABUL - Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of Afghanistan Mr. Mirwais Nab and his counterpart, the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Mr. Khusrav Nоziri had a Video Tele-Conference to discuss the preparations of the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process, where Tajikistan is the co-chair of the Process for the year 2020.
Mr. Nab while congratulating His Excellency President Emomali Rahman on his re-election as the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, stressed that the re-election of H.E. Rahman will further strengthen and enhance the economic and security cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
Further on, the two Deputy Foreign Ministers discussed about the preparations of the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process as well as the ongoing Afghan Peace Process and the upcoming Geneva Conference on Afghanistan, where Mr. Noziri reaffirmed Tajikistan’s support of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the Peace Process and Geneva Conference on Afghanistan, and its readiness to hold the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process in due time.
